Mural “Ribbon Cutting” Event

  • Hemet Valley Art Association 144 North Harvard Street Hemet, CA, 92543 United States (map)

Open to the public, FREE

The Community-Led Mural Project brings residents, artists, youth, and partners together to celebrate the stories, culture, and beauty of Hemet through public art. Join us as we celebrate this lasting symbol of community pride, creativity, & connection.

Join Healthy Valley Foundation, the City of Hemet, Altura Credit Union, Riverside Arts Council, Hemet Valley Art Association, Rosy Cortez, and the Emerging Artists as we celebrate the completion of Hemet’s first community-led public mural, “Your Horizon is Here.”

Attendees can enjoy free food for the first 200 guests, meet and take photos with lead muralist Rosy Cortez and the Emerging Artist Team, hear remarks from City of Hemet Mayor Jackie Peterson, Altura Credit Union, and Healthy Valley Foundation, and connect with neighbors, artists, sponsors, and community leaders who helped bring this vision to life.

This special evening is more than a ribbon cutting—it’s a celebration of creativity, collaboration, community pride, and the power of coming together to create something lasting for Hemet. We look forward to celebrating with you!
