HVAA’s Open House and Celebration for Kathy Schmitt

Join us for a warm and welcoming summer celebration at the Hemet Valley Art Association’s Open House on Saturday, July 11, 2026, from 4:00–7:00 p.m. at the Hemet Valley Art Gallery. This special evening features the work of our highlighted artist, Kathy Schmitt, whose paintings bring together vibrant color, expressive brushwork, and a deep love of the natural and built world. Stroll through the gallery at your own pace, take in Kathy’s richly textured pieces up close, and enjoy conversations with fellow art lovers, friends, neighbors, and members of our creative community.

This Open House is more than just an art reception: it is a chance to celebrate Kathy’s artistry, the friendships that have grown through the gallery, and our nation’s 250th birthday in a relaxed, festive setting. Whether you are a longtime supporter of HVAA or visiting for the first time, you will find a friendly atmosphere where everyone is welcome: collectors, casual visitors, families, and anyone curious about local art. Tasty food, drinks, and wine will be provided, so you can linger, mingle, and fully enjoy the experience as you explore the exhibition and learn more about the Hemet Valley Art Association’s ongoing programs, classes, and shows.

We invite you to bring friends and family, meet the artist, ask questions about her process and inspiration, and join an evening that honors creativity, community, and the spirit of artistic expression in Hemet.
