Membership Policy

Effective Date: 3/17/2026

Hemet Valley Art Association, Inc. (“HVAA,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) welcomes individuals who want to support the arts and participate in our nonprofit community. This Membership Policy explains the general terms for membership with HVAA.

1. Membership Categories

HVAA offers membership categories and contribution levels as determined by the organization from time to time. Current categories may include:

  • Individual Membership

  • Joint Membership

  • Youth Membership

  • Special support levels or recognition memberships

Current membership amounts, benefits, and contribution levels are listed on the HVAA website or may be provided by the gallery.

2. Membership Term

Unless otherwise stated, membership is valid for one year from the date it is approved and processed by HVAA.

Lifetime or special recognition memberships, if offered, are subject to the terms stated by HVAA at the time of contribution.

3. Membership Eligibility

Membership is open to individuals who support the mission of HVAA and comply with the organization’s policies, rules, and standards of conduct.

Youth memberships must be submitted by or with the approval of a parent or legal guardian if the member is under 18.

HVAA reserves the right to accept, decline, suspend, or terminate membership when reasonably necessary to protect the organization, its mission, its gallery, its programs, or its community.

4. Membership Fees

Membership fees, dues, and contribution levels are set by HVAA and may be changed at any time.

Membership is not active until payment has been received and processed, and any required form or application information has been submitted.

5. Membership Benefits

Membership benefits may include access to member opportunities, participation in certain exhibits or activities, notices of events or programs, and other benefits offered by HVAA from time to time. Membership benefits and exhibition privileges are subject to current gallery rules and board-approved policies.

Membership benefits are subject to change without notice and may vary by membership category.

Membership does not create ownership rights in HVAA or any right to guaranteed exhibition space, awards, scholarships, classes, workshops, leadership roles, or other specific opportunities unless expressly stated by HVAA.

6. Renewals

Members are responsible for renewing their membership on time if they wish to continue receiving membership benefits.

HVAA may send renewal reminders as a courtesy, but failure to receive a reminder does not extend membership status or benefits.

7. Refunds

Membership fees and dues are generally nonrefundable.

HVAA may, in its sole discretion, approve a refund or credit in limited circumstances, including duplicate payments or administrative error.

Donor-level, support-level, or recognition memberships are generally treated as contributions and are not refundable once processed, unless required by law.

8. Member Conduct

Members are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful and appropriate manner in connection with HVAA programs, gallery activities, meetings, events, classes, workshops, exhibitions, and communications.

HVAA may suspend or terminate membership, without refund, if a member:

  • violates HVAA policies or rules

  • engages in disruptive, abusive, threatening, unlawful, or inappropriate conduct

  • damages HVAA property or harms HVAA’s reputation or operations

  • interferes with the safety, participation, or experience of others

9. Communications

By becoming a member, you agree that HVAA may contact you regarding your membership, renewals, events, programs, exhibitions, classes, workshops, volunteer opportunities, fundraising activities, and other organization-related matters.

You may opt out of non-essential promotional emails at any time, but HVAA may still send service-related communications about your membership or transactions.

10. Privacy

Information submitted in connection with membership is handled in accordance with HVAA’s Privacy Policy.

HVAA does not sell or rent member information to outside parties. HVAA may share information with service providers or administrative partners as needed to operate the organization, process payments, maintain records, or communicate with members.

11. Changes to Membership Terms

HVAA may update membership categories, fees, benefits, procedures, or this Membership Policy at any time.

Any updated version will become effective when posted on the website or otherwise made available by HVAA.
