Art Classes & Workshops in Hemet, CA
At Hemet Valley Art Association, we believe art should be accessible, enriching, and rooted in community. Our nonprofit art center offers classes and workshops in Hemet for kids, teens, and adults, creating opportunities to learn new skills, explore creativity, and connect with others through art. Whether you are interested in watercolor, drawing, clay sculpting, urban sketching, or youth art classes, our programs are designed to welcome artists of all experience levels.
Your participation in our classes and workshops helps support local arts programming, creative education, and community access to the arts.
How to register: Follow the contact instructions in the Read more listing; some classes use email signups and others use phone registration. Your spot is confirmed once an HVAA instructor or representative responds and lets you know you are enrolled.

Basic Drawing Class
Friday (1st, 3rd and possibly 5th) from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM
Build a strong foundation in pencil drawing while learning shapes, form, values, and the effects of light. This welcoming class is a great way to strengthen observation skills and grow your confidence as an artist.
Beginnermediate Watercolor Classes
Thursdays 1:00 - 3:00pm
Explore watercolor in a fun and welcoming class designed for both beginners and intermediate artists. Build your skills, try new techniques, and grow at your own pace in a supportive creative setting.
Clay Sculpting Workshop
Tuesdays 6:30 - 8:30pm
Get creative in this hands-on clay sculpting workshop for ages 13 and up. Learn new techniques, build confidence, and create your own unique pieces in a fun and welcoming class setting.
Hemet Sketchers, Urban Sketching Group

Join the Hemet Sketchers for an inspiring urban sketching group focused on building your sketchbook practice, exploring interesting places, and creating alongside fellow artists in a welcoming group setting.
Kids Art Classes

Let your child explore creativity through painting, sketching, watercolor, charcoal, and more in a fun and supportive class environment. Kids Art Classes are designed to encourage learning, imagination, and artistic confidence.
Youth Creative Clay Class
Saturdays (2nd, 3rd and 4th) 1:00 - 3:00 pm (grades 1-12)
Let your kid get creative in this hands-on creative clay class. They will learn new techniques, build confidence, and create their own unique pieces in a fun and welcoming class setting.
