Afternoon of Art and Community at Lily's in Idyllwild
The Hemet Valley Art Association recently enjoyed a wonderful afternoon in the mountain community of Idyllwild, where several members participated in a special art event hosted by Lily's. The gathering brought together artists, visitors, live music, and a welcoming atmosphere that celebrated creativity and community.
Community events like this provide valuable opportunities for HVAA members to showcase their talents, connect with new audiences, and strengthen relationships with local businesses and organizations that support the arts.
HVAA extends its sincere appreciation to Lily's for inviting the association to participate and to the entire Lily's team for their outstanding hospitality. Guests enjoyed the beautiful lower creek-side patio, complete with shaded seating, refreshing beverages, and a relaxed atmosphere that made artists and visitors feel right at home.
Special recognition goes to Linda Baranek, who coordinated the participation of the Hemet Valley Art Association artists. Her efforts helped bring together a wonderful group of members to represent HVAA and share their creativity with the Idyllwild community.
Representing the Hemet Valley Art Association were Linda, Denise, Patty, Beverly, Curtis, and Anthony, who displayed artwork, demonstrated artistic techniques, and offered handcrafted merchandise throughout the event. Fellow members Tracy and Mike also joined the group, spending the afternoon sketching, watercoloring, enjoying the beautiful mountain setting, and sharing conversations with artists, visitors, and friends.
Adding to the experience were live performances by Matt Drey and Jamie Guthrie, whose music created the perfect backdrop as guests explored the artwork, visited with artists, and relaxed beside the creek.
Throughout the afternoon, visitors had the opportunity to meet the artists, learn about their creative processes, browse original artwork and handcrafted items, and experience the welcoming spirit that defines the Hemet Valley Art Association. Events like this help foster meaningful connections between artists and the communities they serve.
