Second Annual Crazy Crafty Collections of Clutter Brings Creativity, Community, and Great Finds

The Hemet Valley Art Association's Second Annual Crazy Crafty Collections of Clutter once again transformed donated art and craft supplies into an afternoon of creativity, laughter, and community.

Part swap meet, part fundraiser, and part social gathering, the event invited members and guests to browse tables filled with donated art and craft supplies, tools, books, frames, fabrics, and creative materials. After paying a small admission fee, attendees were free to choose up to ten items to take home, giving unused supplies a second life while inspiring new artistic projects.

One of the highlights of the day was seeing so many of our younger artists take part. Thanks to the generosity of Kevin Robbins, who donated 20 children’s art kits from Hobby Lobby, nearly all of HVAA’s junior members went home with a creative project of their own. We also extend a special thank-you to our President, Lynn Throckmorton, and her husband, Bob, who donated 30 brand-new art items and generously provided pizza for everyone to enjoy. Our thanks also go to Vice President Briana Derum for her generous contribution of new art supplies and items to help make the event even more special.

Of course, no HVAA gathering would be complete without plenty of food and fellowship. Members enjoyed pizza while catching up with friends, sharing creative ideas, and discovering unexpected treasures throughout the room.

Because nearly everything was donated, every admission fee directly benefited the Hemet Valley Art Association. This year's event raised approximately $300 to support the Art Center and the association's ongoing programs, classes, workshops, exhibitions, and community outreach.

More than just a fundraiser, Crazy Crafty Collections of Clutter has become a celebration of the generosity and creativity that define the Hemet Valley Art Association. It encourages artists to share supplies they no longer need, inspires others to explore new artistic pursuits, and reminds us that one person's clutter can truly become another person's creative treasure.

Kudos to Jenny Gagnon, Event Coordinator, Patti Greco, and the entire Member Meeting Team for planning and hosting another successful Crazy Crafty Collections of Clutter. Their hard work, organization, and enthusiasm made this fun annual tradition possible.

A special thank you also goes to everyone who contributed art supplies and refreshments, and to all who attended. Your generosity continues to strengthen our association while creating opportunities for artists of every age to learn, create, and connect.
