Darlene Woodcock: February’s 2026 Featured Artist

Darlene Woodcock has been a member of the Hemet Valley Art Association since 2025. She has been displaying mixed media artwork she calls, “Framed Junk Jewelry.” Her work features repurposed items collected from friends and estate sales, which she assembles into interesting art pieces.

Darlene moved to Southern California in 2017 and started using her crafting talent as Loco Lady Guitars, decorating themed guitars sold on Etsy or donated to the Historic Hemet Theatre. To downsize her craft operation, she explored uses for “all that sparkles” that she had collected. She was inspired by a photo of a Christmas tree made entirely of jewelry. Her first work was a shamrock; since then she had made more than 125 pieces in various themes.
