Eve Khattab: March’s 2026 Featured Artist

Eve Khattab was born and raised in the Philippines and emigrated to the U.S. in 1976. She says her bead art all began with an interest in learning cross stitch, technically a form of embroidery, although often referred to more generally as needlework.

Eve took what she learned from cross stitch and applied it to beading, changing the materials from threads to beads and from needle to wire using a metallic mesh screen. She says she doesn’t count her beads; it’s more a matter of “eyeballing.” She also creates her own patterns.
